The Bite
A bite of ice cream, a bite of cake
can be good
but,
a bite on someone's arm is not as tasty.
A kid can take your toy.
A kid can take your lego house down.
A bite can make a mark.
A bite can make him
Stop!
But words and talking
are a better way.
So bite candy, bite corn, bite a big juicy steak
And leave Tristan's arm without teeth marks.

Mother's Hair
Hair, people all assume families have somewhat similar hair, but in my family we have insanely different hair. My father’s hair is straight on the top, and right at the very bottom it has a genital, soft curl. It is like a thin piece of ribbon attempting to be curled but only the bottom part is curling. My little brother, Lorenzo hair is thick and wavy. The hair is like soft waves in an ocean while putting your rushing your hands in the water over and over. For my hair, the hair is soft silky yet straight on the first layer it is wavy and somewhat straight. On the bottom layer it is curly/ very crimped. The hair I have is similar to a wooden broom that you buy from a craft store.
My mother’s hair is very different from all of ours. My mothers natural hair consist of tight curls from the bottom to the top, it is just like when a poodle goes to the groomers and gets its hair beautifully fluffed up. Having dogs now influences my mom to have a different hairstyle to not be identical to the dogs. Her words in what she calls it are “poodle hair”. My mother now blow-dry’s her hair straight everyday to make it look as if a cat is licking each strand of her hair straight down. My mother’s straight hair allows me to run my figures throughout her soft straight hair.
